Twin Falls Airbase

About Us

The Twin Falls Airbase was established in 2004. It serves as the Twin Falls District BLM Fire and Aviation Program’s exclusive fixed wing base for aerial retardant application and air tactical operations. Every fire season, the base hosts two Single Engine Air Tankers (AT-802s) for 90 days. The Twin Falls Airbase also services nearly all of Forest Service Large Air Tankers between the months of June and September. Our airbase is a full service air tanker base with contract loading crews. The Twin Falls Airbase delivers well over 500,000 gallons of retardant annually. It is a vital program for the Twin Falls District, Great Basin, and other geographic response areas.
